Haiku&Co.

Barbara Anna Gaiardoni is an Italian Pedagogist&Love Writer. Winner of the First Prize 2023 “Zheng Nian Cup” National Literature Price  and of the Edinburgh “Writings Leith” contest. She receveid two (WORD ON THE STREET HAIKU, Susan Furst Editor) nominations for The Touchstone Award 2023  and recognized on the Haiku Euro Top 100 list for 2023 by haiku organizer Krzysztof Kokot (Haikupedia) and on The Mainichi’s Haiku in English Best 2023 (Selections and comments by Dhugal J. Lindsay. ) She began writing Japanese-style poems in 2019 and since has been published in The Mainichi – Haiku in English, Asahi Haikuist Network, Haiku Dialogue THF, The Japan Society UK, Drifting Sands Haibun, Cold Moon Journal, Bones Journal, Akita International Haiku Network, The Zen Space, The Wise Owl, Lothlorien Poetry Journal and many other international journals.  Her works are been translated on Japanese, Romanian, Arabic, Malayalam, Hindi, Chinese, Korean and in Spanish languages. Co-author of haiga and shahai with Andrea Vanacore, life partner, visionary photographer & videomaker with a long and varied experience.
Drawing, swimming and walking in nature are her passions.
Her motto is “I can, I must, I will do it.”

Barbara Gaiardoni nasce a Verona il 15 febbraio 1967. Lavora dall’età di 18 anni: inizia come istruttrice di nuoto. Nel contempo, consegue il diploma al Conservatorio di Musicale statale di Vicenza e, dopo aver collaborato come violinista di fila con orchestre giovanili e sinfoniche, termina la sua carriera musicale all’età di 30 anni, per entrare a pieno titolo nell’impresa di famiglia. Nel 2000 riprende gli studi scolastici e formativi, interrotti in età adolescenziale da una bocciatura in II liceo: si concludono con un diploma di Dirigente di comunità e due lauree presso l’Università degli Studi di Verona; una triennale in Scienze dell’educazione e della Formazione e l’altra specialistica in Scienze pedagogiche. Nel 2004 lavora come educatrice professionale nell’ambito psichiatrico e delle patologie dell’invecchiamento; quest’ultimo la vede anche nel ruolo di pedagogista e counselor per le famiglie dei soggetti affetti da demenza di tipo Alzheimer. Successivamente si perfeziona con un tirocinio professionale nell’ambito socio-educativo: esperienza che sfocerà nella progettazione pedagogica. La scrittura in tutte le sue sfaccettature e forme resta il suo strumento prediletto per l’efficacia sia in ambito professionale sia in quello dell’auto formazione. Ha pubblicato 3 libri e un racconto breve. Ha collaborato con riviste di settore e con magazine culturali online. La scrittura diaristica si concretizza nella stesura di 15 diari di bordo utilizzati negli ambiti professionali suddetti. Il suo mantra? Non esistono ostacoli, ma sfide.
